If you were to pick two things from the 80s that would still be going strong, The Proclaimers and this coffee-flavoured cocktail would probably not be the first things on your mind. Fortunately, the Universe has its own funny ways and thank goodness for that!
The original recipe used vodka and sugar syrup but after many sleepless nights of research, we have found that golden rum from The Bahamas brings more than enough rich sweetness to cut out the sugar. Combined with the milk chocolate notes of our Oxford-roasted Salvadoran coffee and our perfected blend of coffee liqueurs, there's more than enough flavour in this to take you through the night (or get you up in the morning).
Generous amounts of indulgent golden Bajan rum, our secret mix of delicious coffee liqueurs, and wake me up-strength Oxford-roasted Salvadoran coffee.
How to serve
Look, we all know that we want the froth, so let's not just pour this one into a glass. Stick a cup of ice in a cocktail shaker (or a protein shaker or an empty jam jar) and shake hard for 10-20 seconds. Pour the liquid into a stemmed glass and hold the ice back with the strainer (or lid or a spoon) while the foam slowly settles on top.
Make it fancy
Dust with cocoa powder or stick some coffee beans on there, then dance the night away.
