There is something spectacular about the bittersweet complexity of orange. Fragrant peel, bitter pith, and luscious juicy flesh are all aspects of the same lovely fruit, and we've combined them all in the delicious Sunset Spritz.
Refreshing gin and dry vermouth tame the bitterness of the Aperol, while lemon juice and triple sec give a delicious juicy backdrop. A small amount of orange blossom water plays a supporting role, rounding the whole experience off.
Whether it's your first or last drink of the day, the Sunset Spritz is the perfect orangey treat. Don't worry, we won't be mad if you stick some sparkling in it ;)
Citrusy gin, Aperol, dry vermouth, freshly squeezed lemon juice, triple sec, and orange blossom water.
How to serve
Stick it in the freezer for half an hour, shake over ice, and pour into your fanciest glass. Squeeze an orange peel over the glass and garnish with the peel.
Make it fancy
It's probably not a big surprise that the Sunset Spritz goes incredibly well with sparkling. Fill a big wine glass with ice, pour about 30-50 ml of Sunset Spritz into the glass and top up with your favourite dry sparkling. Garnish with a slice of orange, feel free to squeeze it a bit for some of that juicy orange flavour.
